ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The event aims to bring together the aspiration of young people from ASEAN and Japan to discuss the critical roles of education and partnership in shaping the better future post-COVID-19 pandemic; and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that brings together different actors. The event also aims at best practices sharing and versatile local actions in addressing some relevant topics concerning SDGs:
1. Food Security
2. Economic Empowerment
3. Environment and Climate Change
4. Transformative Education
5. Youth, Peace, and Security
Furthermore, the event seeks to present novel approaches to fostering innovation and linking young professionals from different sectors to promote solutions to be used and advocated in their respective countries. Unlocking power of education, partnership, and innovation for the post-pandemic response can lead to future efforts and collaboration among young people from ASEAN and Japan.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
– SSEAYP Alumni nominated by respective AA to assign 2 Participants each Discussion Topic;
– No age limit (preferably active members between 22 – 45 years old);
– Citizen of ASEAN member countries or Japan;
– Fluent in written and spoken English;
– Passionate about building communities and have a keen interest in building network through collaboration and partnership as a global citizen;
– Must be able to give commitment and fully participate throughout the entire program via online platform, following agenda provided by organizer (SI Malaysia).
