JEPARA – To raise awareness on environmental issues in the city, SSEAYP International Indonesia and @ Jepara Green Generation conducted a three-day workcamp for twenty youths this month.
Notable speakers from various backgrounds were invited to discuss the emerging environmental issues such as water pollution and plastic waste, and explore how youths can come up with solutions that they can implement in their communities. Some pre-program activities such as coastal clean-up exercises and campaign to schools to raise awareness of the problem of rubbish and littering were also conducted prior to the workcamp.
SIAGA is a series of social contribution activities of SSEAYP International Indonesia. Led by SSEAYP alumni, ten social projects will be implemented across the archipelago from Manokwari, Papua to Bengkulu, Sumatra. To find out more about SIAGA, follow their stories through #SSEAYPSIAGA
