Pangkajene Kepulauan (Pangkep) – With more than 117 islands in the regency, Maritime Leadership Camp served as a leadership training for youth – aiming to provide understanding about maritime issues, to improve youth leadership and to connect the network of youths among islands in Pangkep.

Led by Rahmat Hidayat HM (IPY 2017), the leadership camp was started with interactive discussion from global and Indonesia maritime history to climate change and marine ecosystem. The participants also had an exciting outbound program to learn more about teamwork, leadership, and communications. At the end of this project, the participants brainstormed about youth involvement in marine preservation and agreed to form youth maritime forum to run maritime programs in the future.

SIAGA is a series of social contribution activities of SSEAYP International Indonesia. Led by #SSEAYP alumni, ten social projects will be implemented across the archipelago from Manokwari, Papua to Bengkulu, Sumatra. To find out more about SIAGA, follow their stories through #SSEAYPSIAGA
