BANDUNG – Pasukan Gerakan Bersih (PASGEBER) was carried out by Hendy Wijaya (IPY 2014) to engage with local community and educate children about the importance of waste management. Implemented in five phases, 30 children learned various topics on zero-waste management from reducing the amount of waste produced by the community to reusing and recycling waste by making hydroponic pots from water bottles.
With support from the Bandung’s Office of Environment and Hygiene (Dinas KLH), PASGEBER also serves as a pilot project in zero waste community in Bandung before being replicated to several other communities in the city.
